A Look at Xavier Transfers Dayvion McKnight and Quincy Olivari
In the weeks leading up to the season, Friar Basketball will provide readers with looks at some of the potential impact newcomers in the Big East this year.
As noted in our preview of Xavier, Sean Miller will rely on a pair of Conference USA backcourt transfers in Dayvion McKnight and Quincy Olivari.
Olivari was the third leading scorer in the league last year at 18.7 points per game while starring at Rice. He made over 90 threes a season ago, and more than 250 during his career at Rice.
Conversely, McKnight relies far more on shots inside the perimeter. He was fifth in the league in scoring last season while at Western Kentucky at 16.5 points per game.
Instead of simply pulling together highlights of their best plays of the season, below you will find every field goal attempt from a pair of games — Olivari in an overtime contest at Texas and against an eventual Final Four team in Florida Atlantic, and McKnight at Louisville and also against Florida Atlantic.
Olivari scored 28 points against Texas in the video below, and had 27 more at FAU, whereas McKnight went for 25 against Louisville and 18 versus FAU in the Conference USA Tournament.
