A Look Back: Providence Wins at Nova with Last Second Shot in 1993
Early in the 1993-94 season, Providence took a 66-65 win over Villanova at The Pavilion on a last-second layup by point guard Abdul Abdullah.
Of course, this was the Providence team that went on to win the 1994 Big East Tournament championship, and in this game they played a team featuring three future NBA players in Kerry Kittles, Jason Lawson, and Alvin Williams.
The Friars had four NBA players of their own in Eric Williams, Michael Smith, Dickey Simpkins and Austin Croshere.
