I had about a seven-hour ride back from Buffalo this morning to revel in Providence reaching the Sweet 16 for the first time since I was a senior in high school.
During that time I thought about so many things that happened on the floor over the past two weeks, and how happy I was for these players for continuing to answer the bell, for Ed Cooley to reach the second week of the tournament, and for Bob Driscoll to close out his 20+ year run at Providence with this type of season.
I also spent a lot of time thinking about how fortunate I was to be there for it all. Having the opportunity to cover this team, on this run, is honestly such a dream for me.
The response to this new venture that we started this year (talk about timing!) has been beyond what I expected, and is also such a motivating factor for me to continue to try to churn out original and worthwhile content.
I tend to try to keep a lower profile, but it was such a pleasure meeting those of you who let me know you read the site and enjoy what we produce here.
Those of you who have subscribed to the site this year really helped make it possible for me to be there in person, and I can’t thank you enough for that. It was a week I’ll never forget, and I’m just so appreciative of everyone who supports us in any manner.
There is still so much more I want to do, and so many ways in which I hope to see this grow in the future.
Thank you all so much for your support.
Kevin
