After roughly six months of planning, interviewing, and editing, a day that we have been looking forward to for some time is finally here, as the first episode of our podcast series on the 2013-14 Friars is now available.
This is the first of four episodes (running about 75 minutes), and in it you’ll hear from Ed Cooley, Bryce Cotton, Kadeem Batts, LaDontae Henton, Carson Desrosiers, and Ted Bancroft on the formation of the roster, the transition from Keno Davis to Cooley and all that entailed, how a late run in the 2012-13 season built momentum, a roster rundown, and the feeling these individuals had heading into what would be a Big East Tournament title season.
This was also the first year of the “new” Big East, and the league’s partnership with Fox Sports, and we delve into what that meant for Providence’s program.
In future episodes, we will talk with the aforementioned six men about the highs and lows that came with the 2013-14 season.
We had a lot of fun pulling this all together and hope you give it a listen. It can be heard at Apple, Soundcloud, or wherever else you listen to your podcasts.
