Highlights: Garwey Dual and Jayden Pierre Shine in Providence's Win Over Milwaukee
Providence’s underclassmen point guard duo, Jayden Pierre and Garwey Dual, made a bit of a statement in the second game of the season — a 79-69 Friar victory over a solid Milwaukee team.
Pierre led PC with 16 points and five assists, on an efficient 5-10 shooting from the field and 2-5 beyond the arc. Freshman point guard Garwey Dual put his tantalizing talents on display with 14 points, four assists, three steals, and two blocks in 24 minutes.
Providence also got a boost from sophomore guard Corey Floyd Jr., who buried a 3-pointer and then threw down a pair of vicious alley oop slams, while Josh Oduro had his first double double in a Friar uniform (13 points, 12 rebounds).
