With some of Providence’s transfer portal class coming up short of expectations, I took a look back at other players the Friars were tied to last spring. It’s amazing how some of these players were hyped as “important gets” or “significant news” at the time, but have had little impact at their schools — just something to keep in mind in a few months.
Dion Brown, Boston College: One of the first named tied to PC in the spring, Brown is averaging 6.9 points and 3.6 rebounds per game after putting up 19 a night at UMBC. Andy Katz compared Brown to Devin Carter in October. Brown has scored in double figures twice this season.
