Providence Runs Past Albany, 93-55

For the third straight game, Providence’s offense overwhelmed an overmatched opponent. On Saturday we saw the Friars score 51 of their 93 points in the second half.

Freshman Jayden Pierre recorded a career high 11 assists in 22 minutes, while fellow frosh Rafael Castro added 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Six Friars scored in double figures, led by Ed Croswell’s 18, 13 from Noah Locke, 11 apiece out of Bryce Hopkins and Devin Carter, while Alyn Breed scored 10 points in the first half.

The win over Albany improved Providence’s record to 8-3, and marked the third straight game in which at least five Friars scored in double figures.
