Quante Berry on The Friar Podcast; Connecting with Friar Fans on Twitter Spaces
Billy Ricci and I had the pleasure of speaking with 2022 Providence commit Quante Berry on the latest episode of The Friar Podcast. Berry, a native of Tennessee, was the first player to commit to PC in the class of 2022 after visiting Providence last June.
Berry proceeded to have a very solid run playing for team Bobby Maze Elite on the Under Armour Circuit, before closing out his high school career with a very strong year at Winston-Salem Christian.
The 6’4 combo guard spoke with us about his visit last summer, what made Ed Cooley stand out in the recruiting process, being in attendance for the wild night in which Providence clinched the regular season Big East title, coming to PC with high school teammate Christ Essandoko, his growing friendship with fellow 2022 commit Jayden Pierre, and more.
Additionally, Billy and I tried something new last week when we hosted a Twitter Spaces chat with about 30 Friar fans. For those unfamiliar with Twitter Spaces, we essentially broke down PC’s NCAA Tournament experience via live audio, and then opened it up for conversation with any fans who wanted to share their thoughts on a number of PC-related topics.
It lasted about 80 minutes, and we both really enjoyed speaking with PC fans who participated. Seeing as this was our initial run, we did not record it, but we will do so (and post the recordings here) going forward.
We are planning on hosting another Spaces chat this week (likely Tuesday), and will promote it on our social channels.
