Ranking the Big East Transfer Classes
We rank top transfer classes in the Big East this year, and show the top incoming scorers, rebounders, and assist men.
With the chaos of the transfer portal it can be challenging to stay on top of who went where. And as we learned last fall, rosters don’t seemed to be finalized until the calendar turns to October.
With that being said, it looks like we’re safe to go ahead and rank the top transfer hauls in the Big East this year. This list focuses on the immediate impact these classes will have on the 2024-25 season.
1. Xavier: Sean Miller added both size and shooting ability in the transfer portal. The class is headlined by 6’4 Indiana State transfer Ryan Conwell who did a bit of everything (16.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists, while hitting threes at over 40%). Conwell should push for all league honors. He’s joined by a fellow sniper from beyond the arc in Dante Maddox Jr. (15.6 ppg at Toledo) and Furman transfer Marcus Foster (17.0 ppg and 7.5 rpg). If that weren’t enough, Miller bolstered his frontcourt by picking up massive Oklahoma transfer John Hugley as well as Long Beach State transfer Lassina Traore, who averaged a double double last year (11.9 ppg, 10.4 rpg). The seven-player haul also includes Florida State transfer Cam Fletcher and Boise State transfer Roddie Anderson III. Miller wasn’t messing around this offseason.
