The Friar Podcast: Catching up with Friar Freshman Jaylen Harrell, and Ryan Gomes has Returned!
We couldn’t be more excited about the news that Providence great Ryan Gomes is returning to join the Friar staff. Gomes was an All American at PC and a 2nd Team All Rookie performer as a member of the Boston Celtics. He’s just as well known around these parts for being as good of a person as he was a player.
Bill and I cap a busy couple of days in Friartown by sharing our thoughts on the Gomes addition, breaking down the recent media session with Kim English and Steve Napolillo, plus we welcome freshman Jaylen Harrell to the show.
Harrell just got to campus and brings with him terrific credentials — a top 100 prospect, the first back-to-back Gatorade Massachusetts Player of the Year since 2010, and averages of 22.1 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 7.2 assists per game last year at CATS Academy.
Harrell talks about his relationships with AJ Reeves and Bensley Joseph, as well as his experiences playing with Cooper Flagg, AJ Dybantsa, and other local top prospects.
It’s a jam-packed episode we think you’ll enjoy!
