The Return of the Transfer Portal Tracker
Keeping tabs on who Providence has contacted and other players to watch in the transfer portal (updated 4/1).
Back again for 2025, the Portal Tracker includes players Providence has reportedly contacted and others to keep an eye on due to past relationships or potential fit.
The names are coming fast and furious three days into the portal. It’s important to remember, however, that Bensley Joseph (April 5), Christ Essandoko (April 10), Jabri Abdur-Rahim (April 15), and Wesley Cardet (April 21) committed a few weeks after the portal opened on March 18 last year. And that felt like early work.
So, there’s a long road ahead.
With that being said, I’ll continue to update this list and add context around each player.

Anthony Robinson, Virginia: New to the game prior to college, Robinson comes from great lineage — his father played football at Georgia Tech and in the NFL, his mother was a volleyball player at Tennessee, and his grandfather (George Wilson) was an Olympic gold medalist/NBA player in the 1960s. The 6’10, 250 pound center has had an interesting journey, growing up for a portion of his childhood in Abu Dhabi. He redshirted his freshman year at UVA before appearing in 26 games this year, averaging 3.6 points and 2.4 rebounds. A bouncy athlete, Robinson shot 72% from the field, and flashed some shot blocking ability, but was overpowered at times when guarding post players in the ACC. He would slot in as a backup center behind Oswin Erhunmwunse with the potential to develop into a starter down the line. Robinson showed good promise as a finisher on the interior.
Cole Hargrove, Drexel: A 6’8, 250 pound big from Pennsylvania, Hargrove averaged 9.9 points and 7.5 rebounds per game last year in a breakout season. Ranked in the 80th percentile in the country in post-up scoring and 82nd as a P&R roll man. Providence and Nebraska were among the teams to reach out when he portaled. Traditional big man who took 80% of his field goal attempts in the paint, grabbed three offensive rebounds per game, and shot over 60% from two. Shot 8-41 on jumpers. Visited Providence the weekend of 3/29.
